Our pledge

Insurers don’t pay us to say “switch”.

An answer is only worth something if you can trust who made it. Here are our rules. Open one to see what it means in practice.

01 · Every number says what it is.

An estimate is worked out from an insurer’s filed rates. An observed quote is a price an insurer gave you. A bindable offer is one you could buy as stated. We label every price, every time.

02 · “Stay” is a real answer.

If nothing beats what you have, we say so plainly. We don’t invent a reason for you to switch. Staying put is a result, not a failure.

03 · Same coverage, or it doesn’t count.

We compare your exact limits and deductibles. A cheaper price for less cover is shown as a coverage change, never as a saving.

04 · We show who we couldn’t check.

Every answer lists the insurers we couldn’t price and reminds you we don’t cover the whole market.

05 · Money never touches the verdict.

No payment changes a verdict, an alert threshold, the order you see or which options appear.

06 · Three separate yeses.

Watching your insurance, joining optional research, and letting an insurer contact you are separate choices. Saying no to one never blocks another.

07 · Your data, your call.

Insurance you don’t watch is deleted 30 days after its last check. Export or delete everything whenever you like.

So how do we make money?

Today, we don’t. InsurWatch is free.

Later, insurers may pay us for better ways to send accurate data about their products. That can make our answers more complete. It can’t make them friendlier to anyone.

What money can never buy: a better verdict, a higher place in the list, different alert thresholds, or your contact details.
